This is one of the best all-guys all-out entertainment movies I have ever seen. Ever since second year of college, I have not seen a more composite, stylish package as this.
A movie about two regular Irish guys who get caught up in a bar-fight with some Russians escalates into revenge, and then a crime-fighting spree, as they attempt to wipe the Russian Mafia off the streets of Boston. It is through a short series of confrontations and their concurrent investigations by the FBI, that the plot progresses. (creative first conflict at the alley, with techo accompanying it - 'faaak!!' inspiring.)

These 'simulation' investigations are conducted by a smug, trippy and gay Dafoe.
(A note: Kilmer's performance in KKBB was sinisterly similar to Dafoe's here. Hmmm..) Dafoe really seemed to be enjoying his role in this movie, what with the dancing, the cross-dressing, the supposed soul-searching
Side-kicking the Irish brothers is Rocco, the frustrated, wants to be 'in' funny guy, who turns against the Russians after they not-so-subtly send him into a suicide mission. The movie features lively music (rock and bagpipes), fun stunts - involving a commode, torture, wit, some nice of shootouts and a loser to trip on ('What the fuck were you going to do, laugh the last three to death, Funny-Man?').
Recommended to anyone.
